Tabatinga is served by two regional airlines, RICO and TRIP from Manaus. The price for the two hours flight is between R$ 400.- to R$ 600.-. The booking can be done through travel agents or directly on the website, but both airlines do not accept international credit cards. If you are coming from Manaus, you can go by boat (36 hours) to Tefe, and there board the plane for R$ 320.- to Tabatinga.
TABATINGA - MANAUS   Regional Boat with accommodation in hammock or private cabin leaving WEDNESDAYS  and SATURDAYS from Tabatinga Port.		The boat leaves around 14.30 p.m. from Tabatinga port maritima. The price is R$ 150.- for the three day trip to Manaus, including accommodation in hammock on the upper deck, meals and water. Sometimes are leaving two boats, then the promotional rate is R$ 80.- only. Consult the Mahatu management for details.
MANAUS - TABATINGA   Leaving usually WEDNESDAYS and SATURDAYS from Manaus Rodo Port.		The boat leaves around 15.00 p.m. from Manaus Rodo Port. The price is R$ 267.- for the seven days trip, if bought from the official ticket office in the port. Mahatu´s MANAUS INSIDER TIP: Rent from Manaus Moderna Port for R$ 5.- a motorized canoe to bring you to the boat docking at Manaus Rodo. Purchasing the ticket directly on the boat you can negociate the price down to R$ 150.-

COMING FROM LETICIA AIRPORT to "Mahatu Hostel"   From Leticia Airport take for 5.000 Pesos (approx. 3 USD) a taxi to the Mahatu hostel on CRA 7 No. 9 - 69.     COMING FROM TABATINGA AIRPORT to "Mahatu Hostel"   Try to make a reservation with us in advance, so that we can pick you up for a small fee from the airport. Otherwise the taxi from Tabatinga airport to the Mahatu hostel is R$ 20.-. If you have little luggage, you can walk from the airport 500 meters to the next main street and wait in front of the "Hotel de Transito" for a white VW combi to Leticia. The service is available every 20 minutes until 6 p.m. and cost 1,50 Reais. Ask the driver to let you out at Calle 9.      TABATINGA - BENJAMIN CONSTANT   Benjamin Constant is located 40 km south of Tabatinga and the first stop of all boats leaving for Manaus. There is a road connection to ATALAYA DO NORTE, the entry point to the PALMARI NATURAL RESERVE.   "Recreios" (regional boats) are leaving from Tabatinga municipal port twice a day, at 11 a.m and 17 p.m. The price for the 90 minutes journey is 10 Reais. The Recreios from Benjamin Constant to Tabatinga are leaving as 7 a.m. and 14 p.m.   There is speed boat service, the "taxi fluvial". They are leaving as soon as the boat is full (10 passengers) and charge 15 Reais for the trip.	COMING FROM SANTA ROSA to "Mahatu Hostel"   Leave the boat at the Santa Rosa Island and get at the peruan immigration office your exit stamp. Ignore the touts at the Santa Rosa port, the transport you can arrange cheaper yourself: Head down to the floating boat (fluctuante) and ask for a transfer to Leticia port. The price is 3.000 Pesos per person. At Leticia port take a taxi (3.000 Pesos) or mototaxi (1.000 Pesos) to Mahatu Hostel at CRA 7 Calle 9 - 69. Do not forget to get your entry stamp to Colombia on the same or next day from the DAS office at Leticia Airport.   COMING FROM TABATINGA PORT to "Mahatu Hostel"   Take from the port a brazilian mototaxi to the border with Leticia (" la fronteira") for R$ 2.-. Take at the border a colombian mototaxi to the Mahatu hostel at CRA 7 No. 9 - 69 for 1.000 Pesos. The taxi from Tabatinga port to the hostel is R$ 10.-     LETICIA - PUERTO NARINO   Puerto Narino is the second largest settlement in the Colombia Amazon state. It is a traditional TICUNA community with approx. 7.000 mostly indigenous inhabitants.   Speed boats from Leticia port are leaving at 8 a.m, 10 a.m and 14 p.m. The price for the trip is 23.000 Pesos.   From Leticia port you can walk to the Mahatu Hostel or take for 1.000 Pesos a mototaxi.	IMMIGRATION MATTERS   When arriving in the triple border region, you have an entry visa either for Brasil, Colombia or Peru. This visa is good for travelling within the border region Colombia (Leticia up to Puerto Narino), Brasil (Tabatinga and Benjamin Constant) and Peru (Santa Rosa and Marasha) without any further immigration formalities.   When leaving the border region to ANOTHER COUNTRY you must get an exit stamp from the immigration office of the country you are leaving and AT THE SAME DAY (or NEXT DAY) the entry stamp from the immigration office of the country in which you are continuing your travel. Failure to do so may result in fines and/or deportation.   The Colombian Immigration office DAS (Departamento Administrativo de Seguridad) is located in the LETICIA airport, closing at 6 p.m. You can go to the airport by our bicycles or by a mototaxi.   The Peruan Immigration in SANTA ROSA office is usually open during departure and arrival times of the boats. It is recommended to do the EMIGRATION from Peru already at the day of arrival, and the immigration in Colombia or Brasil at the same (or next) day.   The Brazilian Policia Federal is located in the Avenida de Amizade in Tabatinga, next to the Caixa Economica Federal. From Leticia downtown you can take the white VW combi to Tabatinga and ask the driver to let you out at the "Federal".
