NATIVE JUNLGE LODGE

Most Manaus tour agencies operate in the Rio Negro and Largo Mamori region. In these areas nature has been widely explored by humans, and tourist jungle camps are located sometimes just a few hundred meters from each other.

Far away from this mass jungle tourism, AMAZONASLIFE has created an alternative jungle lodge run by a native familiy, a few miles from Maues at the Rio Apocuitava between the indian communities Ponta Alegre and Sao Tome. Guest will experience the ¨REAL JUNGLE¨ with animals including jaguar spotting and joining natives on their hunting and fishing expeditions. Due to our good contacts with the Municipality, we can organize also a visit to Satare-Mawe Indians, which have their reserve located between Maues, Parintins and Itaituba.
